The directors and producers of movies should also be appreciated

posted on 25 November 2011

The best movies that have made it in the big screens of theater and in BET awards are movies which have left a mark on the minds of audiences in a big way. People have always been used to appreciating the faces that are in the movies and those who have worked hard to make the movie a success and those who get the most credit are the actors who are majorly not to applaud for the success of the movie but the directors and producers that are behind the scenes. A good example of a director who has not been appreciated in the scenes and he has made the success of great movies come to life such as avatar, titanic and terminator known as james cameron should be applauded because his work has brought out spectacular results. How he has directed the movies and made them to be what they are together with the producer should be the main appreciation for a good work well done and also working with actors that are well accomplished in what they are doing and who follow what the director tells them to do.

Flickr is the site to be if you love photography.

There is no fun like sharing photos that you have taken with your friends in a social site like Flickr. This is a site that many photographers join in order to share what they love the most, and that is photographs. With your photos, you can get to see what others in the site have. Just like other social sites, you have to create an account in this site in order to enjoy sharing photos with others across th globe. You have to gather friends too who are using the site in order to share photos with them. Once you do all that, you can start having so much fun in the site. It is a very safe site and you can manipulate what you share in order to impress your friends. You can for instance have Flickr edit photo in order to suit the likes of most of your friends. Then you can wait to see their reaction to the photos through the comments they will post. This is what creates the much fun in the site.

Gender does not count in singing at all.

posted on 13 July 2011

Many people believe that it is only the male who can be able to sing hip hop and bring it out perfectly, while others believe that women can only sing soft songs and they come out perfectly. If you are among these people, you should probably think twice because when you look at the music industry you will realize that there is gender equality in the performance of songs, and it is not about being male or female but being able to deliver. A good example of this is one singer and song writer keri hilson. She is one singer who has been able to bring hip hop to life with her beautiful voice. She is also an R & B singer which makes her stand out from all the other female performing artists who normally sing blues and other soft songs. Keri is one artist who believes in diversity, and if you can be able to do it, give it your best. Sometimes we hide talents because we think of what the society will say, but it is not about them but about you.

When quitting is just but an act

posted on 7 July 2011

A wise man once said once an actor always an actor, his statement has proved to be right because many actors who are in the industry even when they choose to retire, the blood of acting still remains in them and they find themselves putting on an act whenever they get an audience. For joaquin phoenix, quitting in order to concentrate on his music was just but an act because later on he came back to the industry performing a role in a movie by the title IIm still here. Maybe it was because of the title that this role fit him so well, but all in all he was back on the screen and the idea of quitting seemed to have faded a long time ago. The artist though was a film director and has been back stage for some time, which has not stopped him from exploiting his full potential. You can also decide to quit in whatever you are doing, but remember that it is still in you and once in a while you will have to unleash that potential that has built up in you during the period you chose to quit.

Forgetting about the Past by Using Facebook Delete Friends Option

posted on 19 May 2011

I went through a traumatic experience last week. It saddened me to think that the people I trusted the most are still the same individuals who would let me down. This incident involved my used to be good friends. I was able to discover the real them when we went through difficult times. They are accusing me of something that I never really did and I feel disappointed knowing that’s the way they think of me despite all the years that we have been together. I am already thinking of using the facebook delete friends option. Whenever I open my account in this social networking site, I couldn’t resist checking on their accounts. No matter how hard I refuse to accept, I know that these people are still important to me. I even sent them individual messages to impart how bad I feel for what has happened to our friendship. But they only have negative words to say about me and I no longer want to receive undesirable notes from them. I wish that by getting rid of them from my Facebook friends list, I’ll learn how to move on and forget about the past.

How facebook deals with people who are out to bother facebook users

posted on 19 April 2011

There are very many people who like making other people look bad. These are the people who are kin to spoil the good in something and making it really unsafe for other people. This happens in social networks like facebook. People join facebook to communicate with their loved ones and to also share a lot of pictures with each other. They comment on each others pictures and also write on each others walls. They do this so that there loved ones can know that they care. Then there are those people who join facebook so that they can meet people to curb the loneliness their lives. Then there are those people who join facebook so that they can make other people feel uncomfortable. They post vulgar statement on the walls of many people thus making them really annoyed. They even put very explicit pictures and tag many people in the picture and this creates a lot of problems. If you are such a person, and you do this, then people are going to report your habits. So you will understand facebook if blocked. Your account will be put on hold as they collect everything against you and then eventually kick you out of facebook.

Why I'm Gaga for Gawker

posted on 12 March 2011

My favorite website is Gawker, as I check it daily and use it to keep me informed about current events, human interest stories and celebrity gossip. The website is designed to be easy to navigate, with the most popular and recent stories highlighted on the home page. As a reviewer for a designer directory, I do have some experience in what makes a great website (I usually find sites using Google searches like graphic design companies london to review). With gawker.com, the left hand column provides access to other articles, providing pictures that often grab the readers interest immediately. Since Gawker covers dozens of stories a day, it should be well organized and succeeds at doing so. For this reason, it has become one of the most popular blog sites on the internet. To gain new readers, it’s integral that the design of the site is accessible and aesthetically appealing. Likewise, to keep loyal Gawker readers coming back for more, functionality plays an important part as the main point of a visit to Gawker is for the instant access to the rounded selection of content.

Color Theory, Social Norms, and Acceptance with Matisse

posted on 13 February 2011

For some reason, when I look at graffti - perhaps some Banksy prints even - I'm reminded of the simplistic, vivid works of Henri Matisse. Matisse was a great artist and one of the Fauvist leaders – bold colors that went against the norm of society. His works, while reasonable today, was greatly shocking to the public at the time when realistic and humble colors were preferred. His 1905 work, Woman With a Hat, was even thought to be of a prostitute because only a lady of such status would have bright colors. Yet he persevered despite the criticism (and his father’s disappointment), stating that art was “a kind of paradise.” This view of art would strike a chord with many art students throughout the years, as it did personally to me. Matisse struck me as an artist to do my final project on because he was everything I had experienced. As someone who was pursuing a scientific career, art was my stress reliever – my kind of “paradise” where I could express my feelings with different shades of color – some as bright and unrealistic as Matisse’s was. The unrealistic shades earned me much criticism from my non-artistic peers because they could not understand the art of the colors themselves. Color theory was just as important in the world of art as realism is to other aspects, and it was through Matisse’s works that I finally found a sense of belonging. This was a man who challenged art and succeeded.
