The Disastrous Streets of My Hometown

The city that I grew up in was notorious for having streets that were thick with trash. The litter was everywhere and it seemed to resist any moves to clean it up. No matter how many different efforts were made it simply didn't make a difference to the amount of garbage. My friend had a road sweeper hire firm, and no matter how busy they were, the litter always seemed to be there. This really was a drag on the quality of life for the residents there, as it was disgusting to get up over morning and see the trash everywhere. As the problem grew it began to be harder to attract new people to the town and it began to shrink. The city finally recognized the problem that was the garbage an started a new system. For every bag of garbage that was turned into the dump, the person who brought it got $0.50. This encouraged people to not only dispose of their own waste properly, but collect it from the streets on a massive scale. This solved the problem and the city has been garbage free ever since.
