The internet is exactly what was lacking in my computer

I have had my computer helping me in the handling of a variety of services that support my class work. However, there are times when the services are so limited especially when research work is involved. But a friend of mine advised me to connect my computer to the internet to enjoy a complete service. With the internet whose connection I have now done in my computer, I have enjoyed every minute of the services that I need. I am now able to do a quick research with the internet and get results as fast as a simple click. But there are times when the internet is so slow and causing me a lot of inconveniences. I suspect though that the problem may be with the router. That is why, I need to check on the router probably with an expert and see where the problem is coming from. My only worry is how do I access the router and find out where the problem is lying. But I hope that with a technical support from an expert in this field, all will be well.
